Although I am staying in place in my home, I
watch my local news daily. 10,000 acres of beautiful redwood forrest land in the Santa Cruz Mts are burning in an uncontained
raging fire. Thousands have had to evacuate their homes. For those who are familiar, this is very unusual for such a lush green area like my area. Looking outside my window, it is orange. I am way out of harm’s way at my home.
According to the news, there is also a large uncontained fire in the beautiful forests of Big Sur in south Monterey County. Plus there is a fire raging in a rural area of Carmel.
These are all areas near the coast and not prone to forrest fires. God help the poor people who have lost their homes during this pandemic!
