On social media many fans and even Rob Moseley of goducks.com are casting about for a potential nickname for the Duck defense.

In terms of performance, they are certainly nickname-worthy. During the team's 5-game winning streak they've allowed just one touchdown in 63 possessions while holding 5 straight opponents to single digits. That's astounding.

They are:

1st in the conference in scoring defense at 8.7 points per game
1st in yards per play defense at 3.94 yards per play
1st in sacks with 21, 3.5 per game
1st in interceptions with 12, 2.0 per game
1st in turnover margin
1st in tackles for loss with 50, 8.33 per game
2nd in 3rd down conversions allowed, 35.3%
1st in Red Zone defense, 57% scoring pct., 14.3% touchdowns,

stats from cfbstats.com, for all games

What do you see happening from the Oregon defense over the second half of the season?
Can they keep this up?
Who do you see emerging and improving over the second half?

And what about that nickname thing? Earned, too soon, necessary or ridiculous hype?
