Two presumed defensive back starters face charges after police say they targeted people with pellet guns late Tuesday night.
Eugene police responded to calls around 11:45 with three victims reporting injuries. The incident occured near downtown
EPD say DJ James and Jamal Hill, both 20, were charged with three counts each of reckless endangering, assault, unlawful discharge of a firearm and disorderly conduct.
EPD reports one person was hit in the face, but none of the victims were hospitalized.
Another victim reported nearly being hit by the suspects’ vehicle as they left the area.
Officers retrieved a handgun-style and rifle-style pellet gun.
The University of Oregon Athletic Department was not immediately available for comment.
