OUCH! I don't have much info, but a friend just told me tonight. I want to wish this young man nothing but success. He came to Oregon from Australia when the track team was out of scholarship money, so Charlie paid his own way. He didn't disappoint. He leaves as an NCAA event champion, and an Olympian. Most importantly he is a gentleman and a scholar. Charlie is beloved by his teammates and the Oregon track fans. I have been told that he will stay in Eugene to train....and we will be seeing him compete again at Hayward Field, just not as a Duck.
