For those who don't live in Oregon and don't subscribe to our State's rag there's a really good article in the O today focusing on one of our biggest Seniors on Senior day. I guess if we we are amazed at the rise in UO's D we should start with our big guy, who's contributions to a possibly perfect regular season and our best D ever that saved the Offense time and again through the season and who makes it possible for our DE's, LB's and DB's to shine.

He lost his JC scholarship and went home during Covid.

“That’s when I hit a period where I got real big, to at least 430 (pounds),” Caldwell, now listed at 340, said. “One day, my uncle asked me, ‘You always wanted to play football, why’d you let it go?’”

Lanning says:

“I’d say he is extremely underrated,” Lanning said of Caldwell. “He’s a really talented player and has done unbelievable things for us. I think when he plays, people know where he’s at on the field. He’s someone you have to gameplan for. I’m really glad we have Jamaree on our team.”

What do you do with the combo of Caldwell, Harmon, Matayo, Tuioti and hopefully Burch coming at your QB? Run away !
