I realize that this story has been posted but I just wanted to follow up with the articles from the Santa Cruz Newspaper as well as the obituary from the San Jose Mercury.
I feel a profound since of loss that our small town has lost a special link to the Oregon Ducks. He didn’t just live in Santa Cruz County, he lived in the small community south of Santa Cruz in which I reside. I have a photo of Bob and I flashing the O in our local Starbucks that we both frequented. I wish that I could have known him better.

San Jose native Bob Berry, a three-time Super Bowl QB with Minnesota, dies at 81
Berry, born March 10, 1942 in San Jose, went to Willow Glen High before shining at University of Oregon from 1962-64.
