Beyond Flock Talk: Higher Ground

So, I have been trying to do year end thoughts and these were my thoughts this year. I hope we can have a small and good impact on the lives of fans, recruits and their families; I also have seen a lot of ugliness surrounding recruiting coverage in the last 12 months; I hope that changes and we (in a collective sense regarding all who cover recruiting) rise above the fray and become better as a whole.

We are not Woodward and Bernstein exposing a criminal. We are writers telling our readers about 17-year old athletes and where they want to go to school. They will have a whole lifetime of getting torn down for all their mistakes, our responsibility should be to something higher than the aspiration of proving our insights.
