"edit...after all of these years I still suck at this.....

II meant to say..."DANGER...COREY GOES ON RANT (ALBEIT RESONABLE..LOL)"

So...Larry wants to have 9:00 am games (or earlier?) so that the PAC can be seen in Prime Time across the nation.

Cool...great!

Larry finally responds to fans who are complaining about Night Games (especially beaver fans). GO LARRY!!

(or does he really??? or is he just addressing the post-midnight Neilsen Ratings from the East Coast?...well, yeah...duh... it is not about the local fans.. it is about ratings and dollars).

Anyway, what are the Pros and Cons of AM games?

Pros:

The rest of America can see us. BIG DEAL (imho). Awesome Exposure for the PAC.

GREAT IDEA!!

Pros:

If you are heading back to PDX or Bend or Medford after the game then you can get there in time for HAPPY HOUR.

Great Idea!

Cons:

Who the hell wants to get up at Oh-Dark Thirty from Portland or Bend or Medford or ?? to drive to Eugene so that one can get there 4 hours before the game to tailgate?

NOBODY!!

OK...forget 4 hours of tailgating....(WTF..no tailgating= UnAmerican)...ok it's for the betterment of the PAC..still gotta get up at 4 or 5 (from PDX) to brush your teeth, drive, fight traffic, park, etc..

You think that Autzen and other Stadiums are having trouble filling up for night games...wait until you throw in some 9:00 am games...UUUGGHH...

What If:

(and this seems obvious to me)...they cut a deal where there are both am games and night games?

Even for the first year or two as they transition?

No way you say? Umm...do you trust Larry.

REMEMBER...as much as TV $$ run sports....the Ducks REALLY need to fill Autzen every game...and the AD knows this. And...I don't know this for a fact...but I suspect that this is true thru out the PAC.

SO:

I suspect that it will come down to TV revenue that gets split by the Schools or Stadium revenues that do not.

Which team is willing to take it in the shorts for the betterment of the PAC.....especially if they need the money from the tix?

Not many I presume.

BUT:

At least Larry (whom I have been very critical of on this site.)..seems to be trying.

Gotta start somewhere, Larry.
