This is the annual coaches convention that is once again being held in Charlotte and it runs from 1/8 through 1/10.
The National Championship Game is 1/9 .
Generally speaking the coaching convention allows for lots of opportunities for aspiring coaches to get their name out and it also gives existing coaches a chance to speak with other coaches about potential openings.
There is a high likelihood that any analyst/GA/other staff position will be open through next week.
This doesn't mean anyone has turned down anything or that Lanning is 'striking out.' Rather, it indicates that the replacements are important, but like I mentioned on Friday, there are literally dozens (or more) people interested in the open spots at Oregon.
