It was fun to turn the tube on to an NBA game and see two Ducks on the parquet at the Garden as Boston hosted Memphis last night. Dylan Brooks starts for the Griz while Pritchard plays quite a few minutes for the Celts. Payton had 8 points while Brooks doubled that. At one point Payton swiped a Brooks pass and laid it in on the other end.
I am no longer surprised the PP has no deer-in-the-headlights moments taking the jump from College to the pros in stride and perhaps enjoying not having to play 38 or more minutes on the court but not getting bench sores either. The fans out here are busy trying to figure out a nickname for him. 8Mile and PP Rabbit are in the running. There is a growing demand for Pritchard jerseys that are not yet available in the numbers needed.
