From a recent TX Orange Blood article.
A product of Steele (Cibolo) High School, Liddell was more up-and-down than Johnson was, but the flashes of elite ability weren’t hard to find. At 6-7 with solid handle for his size, Liddell was at his best going downhill at defenses, utilizing his length to finish in or near the paint either in transition or attacking in the half-court. Away from the ball, Liddell showed some willingness to be an active cutter, making him tough to defend because of his size and finishing ability. The nation’s No. 22 overall prospect can shoot the ball better than he has thus far (43.4 percent from the floor; 66.2 percent at the free throw line; 1-of-16 from three-point range), and the potential for a very strong mid-range game was present. Defensively, he showed he could defend multiple positions, and rebounded well when he competed hard on the glass.
After releasing a final seven of Baylor, Arizona, Cal, SMU, UCLA, Oregon and Texas, don’t expect much from Liddell on the recruiting front until late July.
