I just heard Gov. Newsom on tv announce this horrific statistic.... and the numbers are growing!
On a personal note, the Santa Cruz Mountain Fire is largely contained, thanks to the fire workers and the fog. We were fortunate to get fire fighters from around the state and from other states. We got our fire early. Now the fires are too wide spread to get that kind of concentrated help. Even though the fire in our county is receding , the air quality is horrible due to the Dolan fire to our south. That fire is doing horrendous damage. God help Oregon and California.
