Brandon Baker is going to end up as one of the top offensive line recruits in California in the 2024 class. He has already started to make some noise on the camp circuit this spring, and that has brought him a number of big offers in recent weeks. Oregon is one of the schools that has decided to offer this month, and he quickly took a visit up to Eugene a couple weeks ago to see the school once again. Baker is the younger brother of former Ducks defensive lineman Gary Baker, who made the trip to Oregon as well for the visit. Baker holds the Ducks in high regard as a school and program, but he has also hit it off with the new coaches as well. He plans on being back out at Oregon for the spring game on April 23.
“Coach Lanning, man, great energy off the bat. He just felt like a high-energy dude, and everything he said it just felt like he meant on a personal level besides football. Coach Klemm really knows what he’s doing with all that experience and all that development. Back when he was at UCLA, he sent multiple guys to the league. Being able to sit down, watch him and talk about everything just made a lot of sense. Definitely a great coach. He’s one of those coaches that liked my film, likes my footwork, likes the aggression I have in the trenches, and I really appreciate that about coach Klemm and coach Lanning.”
