Typical...ESECPN!!

Yeppers...typical Satan Alabama ESECPN BS!!!

**Penn State a team they respected enough to put at #4 ahead of Clemson and 1 spot behind Alabama...loses to a UNDEFEATED team, ON THE ROAD, to a team the committee respected enough to move up 10 fckn spots. However, they drop them 5 spots to #9 but they only drop Alabama 1 spot with a loss at home! How the hell is that NOT bias favoritism to Alabama, Saban, and most of all the SEC!!! This is absolutely ruining college football!! IMO, this is more typical money driven political BS & I’m so so sick of it...

Memphis' Wieseman Ruled Ineligible--But is Playing Anywy, lol

Found this. Sounds like coach paid family "moving expenses." Rated no 1 PSA and draft pick. 7'1" 240.
Meanwhile, our young big guy is waiting til' he's legal (and Okorur appears to be injured). The Mehis game had been billed as the N'Faly v Wieseman show. oh well, the show must go on.

More on "the Court ordered it" Tell me the Judge didn't go to Memph., lol. He doesn't want to let down all the pro scouts planning on attending the PKI. Maybe UO should have done the same with N'Faly. Who cares what the NCAA says?

Conference Strength.

I'm sick of hearing how weak the PAC-12 is

Consider this:

We are playing in the PAC-12 wich everybody derides as a weak conference this year.

Then how in the hell can we have such a better SOS (24) than Penn State (No. 39), Oklahoma (No. 49), Georgia (No. 50) and Cincinnati (No. 56) Alabama (59), when the only "tough" game we played was against Auburn?

Only one answer that I can see:

These other top teams schedule crummy non-conference teams and, more importantly, their own conferences suck.

These other conferences are top-heavy.

Take the ACC for instance...you have Clemson and, maybe this year, Wake Forest, but after that, the other 12 teams are nothing to speak of.

The SEC has, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, and Florida...the other 10 teams suck.

The Big Ten has OSU, Penn State, Minnesota, Wisconson and maybe, Indiana and Michigan. That's pretty good and maybe the best league in the country right now but Rutgers and Maryland and Nebraska and Northwestern? Please...

The Big 12...oh my...Oky and Baylor and then ...nobody. BTW....look at Baylor's schedule...oh my goodness..cupcakes. Baylor might have the weakest schedule I've seen this year.

The point is that all of the conferences are top-heavy and then are not so good after that...it just looks to me as though that, top to bottom, the PAC-12 is not really as bad as most of these other conferences.

Now, if we can only beat them in the bowl game to prove my point!

HERE IS WHY YOU PLAY A TOUGH SCHEDULE

Always lots of discussions every year about whether or not a team should play a tough non-conference schedule.

Should we have played Auburn for instance?

If we had not, we would probably be 9-0.

However, if you want to play for a Natty, then you need to play the big boys, IMO.

To wit:

"Per Sagarin, Oregon (No. 24), Penn State (No. 39), Utah (No. 40), Oklahoma (No. 49), Georgia (No. 50) and Cincinnati (No. 56) all are one-loss teams that came into Saturday with schedules rated stronger than Alabama’s, which checked in at No. 59. Obviously, ‘Bama’s schedule strength will get a big bump from playing LSU, but the Tide also lost the game. At home, where it had won 31 games in a row."

So, now that the college football is shaking out here at the end of the season, it should be a big deal that we have such a better SOS than so many other contenders...and we did this playing in the PAC-12 that is not very good this year.

Hopefully, if we win out, that will be enough to put us in the Playoffs. (not that I'm holding my breath.)

It seems like a good thing that we scheduled Auburn to me. Now lets hope that the committee notices!

WAZZU

Ok...just saying...

Last week I said that I thought that WSU would have a problem getting enough wins to get to a bowl game.

Lots of disagreement with that on this board.

So...now...after losing to Cal...where does WAZZU get their two wins to go bowling?

Stanford, OSU and UW are the potential victims.

Just for fun...I'm staying with my prediction..no bowl for WAZZU.;)

Pay for play and the thorny side issues

Chase Young of Ohio State is sitting out this week's game against Maryland while the NCAA and Ohio State look into a loan he received from "a family friend" in 2018.

There's a possibility he may be ruled ineligible and Ohio State may have to forfeit games.

There's a much greater possibility this ongoing investigation gets the Cam Newton treatment.

I can't help but wonder, with name, image and likeness compensation coming in the future if this cracks open the door to players hiring agents or someone to represent and market them.

How much will top players stand to make? And how will this effect competitive balance?

Friday Night Yikes...

.....is a good caption for the Dawg/Beaver scrum last night at Reser. It's good for the PAC 12 that it was buried in the deep tv time zone of Friday night where most folks were either asleep or taking an Uber back home from Hooters.

The 19-7 score hides the dead man walking Beaver offense that had nothing to do with the score or scoring, or the Dawg offense which should have doubled the spread, but couldn't get out of its own way. This even after its defense rumbled over, under and through the Beavs all night.

The best takeaway? Game film of the defensive schemes of this and the Utah game should be required viewing before the Civil War.

USC Folt/ Bohn Presser Live

Was supposed to start at 10? Oh ell, after waiting a min or 2 still hasn't started. I doubt they will announce Head FB coach in this, but who knows. Assuming these links will have tape too.

Both prior links dead. So that's Folt? That's Bohn? Oh well. I'll wait for the articles, but did want to see Folt, her having been at UNC."Too early to talk about coaches." Then I turned it off. oh, tid bit, T Hufanga from OR was on the search committee.
