Sewell is Outland Semi Finalist

Penei is making us proud as an Outland semi finalist. Check out Go Ducks link:

It galls me to think recruits need to go to palmetto roach heaven to reach national attention. As if Marcus or Snoop or Justin or.....Penei needed cornpone for recognition.

Suck on that, SEC!!!

Class of '21 OL Brock Dieu Update

Login to view embedded media Login to view embedded media Login to view embedded media
Caught up with Brock this week and he told me his unofficial was great. He took an unofficial there week prior to ASU when they hosted USC, and he told me the biggest difference between the two was at Oregon he was able to go and see more of the pregame activities. He was also able to see a lot more of the facilities at Oregon compared to facilities at Arizona State. Another big difference obviously is that Oregon has offered Dieu, ASU still remains in the "interested" department. Dieu called that the "Cherry on top." I have a feeling that this will play a big factor down the road.

Side note: There's a lot of 2021 recruits in Arizona who are feeling Oregon early. Dieu, Brandon Buckner, and Jonah Miller, three phenomenal players from that class, in my opinion have Oregon as one of the top schools on their long lists. We have a long way to go with this class but I'd expect Oregon to remain at least in their Top 4-6 when they trim schools down.

Sider note: I talked to Tyler Shough's parents last week while walking into a High School football game. They non-stop talked about how much the entire family loves Eugene and the staff at Oregon. Tyler Shough and Jaylan Jeffers (Once he steps foot on campus) might be the perfect recruiting coordinators to really create an AZ to Oregon pipeline.

That's all I got for now, if you need anything or have any Q's shoot me a DM on Twitter @codytcameron

The Unbearable Reality ofBeing

Those who would have rushed our Ducks into a Coliseum of NC lions now know they would have been mourned as martyrs. Better to have been spared that indignity being martyred by cheetahs in Phoenix in advance.

National Championship teams do not have the luxury of excuse. Nor should we. Our coaches and team are not to be excused for tonight. Not Justin, not our play calling, our line play on both sides of the ball, nor our DBs who made a freshman look like a Pro and probably sealed our doom at the end. With the game on the line and ASU 3rd and long in deep doodoo they torched us with a head exploding, game winning touch.

The sadness is that the last twelve or so minutes told us what could have been in the preceding 48. Consistency is the hobgoblin of the just not ready in every aspect of the game.

There are times when we as fans' reach exceed our team's grasp, just like tonight. We tend to be fickle as fans, but not always dumbstruck. And if we're treated to the same experience next week against a team humiliated at home by Utah but who beat ASU at home last week, that will be our reality.

As an edit, this post was intended as a kick in the ass because we're better than what we saw tonight..so much better... and could have won this thing. We can prove that next week.
No one can deny our trajectory or goal, which is straight to an NC. We're just not there yet, nor pretend we're a final four. That will come.

ESPN SEC Homer Say's Mullens "Is Not Honest"

This is really messed up. I wonder if he should recuse then consider whether to sue this dude for defamation once the dust has settled, ie post season. I don't see Mullens as a "public figure" and to disparage him on TV is outside the realm of ordinary commentary. It's not Mullens fault things "might" play out the way Duck fans are hoping, and now we see our school placed in a ridiculously impossible situation. First the quote, then the link to the article discussing the SEC Network program. The world we live in.

“I frankly don’t know if I trust this guy being in charge," Finebaum said during his show, which is simulcast on the SEC Network. "I don’t trust him because he’s not honest, and I just think he has an influence on that committee. Maybe I should save my powder if Oregon gets in, but then it’s going to be too late.”

ASU game worries me. What about you?

Before this season began, I reviewed our schedule and marked this game down as a loss. I certainly am glad that we're undefeated (in the conference) on the road this year, but I still can't get over the feeling that this game will be trouble for us.

A win will make ASU bowl-eligible. It's their homecoming. And they would like nothing better than to knock us off our perch. They've gotta be mega-motivated to beat us.

The key? Coaching. Cristobal and his assistants have to make sure we're dialed in. ASU will be.

A close game could be a problem for us. I know we're favored by 14.5 points. But I think it should be more like 2.5 points. A field goal can decide this game, and forgive me for being a Debbie Downer here, but our FG performance sucks.

How do the rest of you feel?
