Oregon has no chance at the college playoff...(sarcasm)

Oh wait... crazy stuff happens in college football all the time. One loss Oregon vs one loss Oklahoma...Oregon could definitely get picked over Oklahoma. Hell who doesn’t think OU could lose another game?

Not saying we will go to the playoffs. Still doubt we win out. But all this talk of slim to no chance is wrong. Crazy stuff like OU losing to Kstate happens every year. More will happen.

Is AI used in helping teams prepare for opponents?

I haven’t read or seen any articles on how artificial intelligence may being used in college football but I can imagine quite a few instances where using AI could revolutionize the college football landscape. )if it’s not already being implemented by forward thinking universities.)

Evaluating recruits, player development, evaluating film to predictive assessment of a defensive or offensive alignment in micro seconds that gives an offensive or defensive coordinator viable play call options in real time up in the booth.

I’m talking about AI that constantly adapts and learns as more information is absorbed by the AI. Essentially putting the best football minds in a computer that can process information in milliseconds instead of hours or days and provide solid conclusions to the coaches making the play calls.

Any of the mods hearing anything about programs starting to employ the advanced AI technology that is available now?

Waiting To Exhale

"Just win, baby." Was the mantra famously mouthed by Al Davis, the evil genius of the Oakland Raider heyday. And it seems appropriately applied to our Ducks, who manage to pull out wins in too many games where we're challenged to pick between the joy of escape and kicking the nearest dog.
We just can't rely on the menu when we're served something else, even though we gratefully pay the bill.

Re reading the game threads is an exercise in bi-polar torment resolved by emergency medication. "I dunno" is the answer to the question of how we win. Just writing this is my way of expiating the angst of another weekend of Duck survival. If True Grit defines us, we're John Wayne, eye patched with the imperfection of succeeding in spite of ourselves.

Consider that we're 7-1 in spite of the anger of frustration that would fire the OC and DC in too many first halves and could move into the Top Ten, something I curiously greet with unease. Not after finding out our defensive genius is a mere mortal after giving up over 60 points of enemy offense and nearly 800 yards the last 2 weeks. Yet here we are, grateful but exhausted.

I have no idea what will happen in the Coliseum, next weekend at 5pm. Maybe I'll skip watching until the last quarter for the sake of my blood pressure. Just win, baby.

GO DUCKS!!!
