If you have not seen Noah Sewell film, do it now!

I have been watching recruit film now for over 20 years. Haloti Nagta, Jonathon Stewart, and Marcus Mariota are guys that come to mind as some of the best I have seen. Noah Sewell is an absolute beast. He explodes into people and they are not just de-cleated, but often airborne. I seriously believe he could play running back at Oregon in short yardage situations.

For you fellow old timers, Sewell reminds me of a Fred Flintstone cartoon when I was a kid. The announcer kept saying" The fat kid has the ball" and Fred with stiff arm every defensive player and score at will. I didn't see the film on a Duck site. Just went to you-tube and put in Noah Sewell, then 2019 highlights. Like Nagta, its just plain silly watching him play in high school

A very good chance that we could have the first consensus All American brothers in the program

Small update on Flowe

I heard this afternoon that the looming decision is going to be difficult. That is about as good a sign as can be for the Ducks here. No guarantees, but the odds crept up.

Clemson folks are still confident and believe that the retention of Clay Helton at USC, combined with the fact that he did a post-Clemson visit interview and has not done one since puts them as squarely the team to beat. There is some ‘projecting’ going on which makes them feel that the fan distaste for the way the Civil War played out will somehow infect the decision-making process, but multiple sources have told me the opposite today.

While some have made a big deal of the Georgia visit cancellation as being related to distance, it was not the distance itself, but the fatigue from all of the travel he has done in the past year. Some on the Clemson side felt he would also cancel the Oregon trip (that is their level of confidence) and that he made it is a good sign for Oregon.

Now we have to watch the in-home visits. Who gets in fist? Last? And how does the in-home from Oregon compare with the in-home from Clemson, USC, etc.

Journey to Pac-12 championship begins...

Heading to the airport in a little less than an hour. Brother Brandon is coming to pick me up which is awesome. we will get down there about 8 in the morning so we have all day to scout out the area. We will be at the media hotel by 10.

Tom and Scott will be joining us this evening. We should have some terrific coverage of this game for you guys. We will check in again soon.

Matchup with Utah: Some thoughts...

I think I like the Ducks' chances in this game more than most people after taking a look at the Utah team. Still, they are the best team Oregon will have faced this year. Here are some of my observations.
  • Unbalanced: Their defense is way better than their offense
  • Their best two offensive players are at key positions: QB Tyler Huntley and HB Zach Moss
  • The Utah OL has not graded well at all this year per PFF
  • TE Brant Kuithe and WR Jaylen Dixon are two receiving threats the Ducks have to account for
  • They run better to their left than to their right
  • Their defense is quite good with the DL being very strong. That will be a key to this game: The Ute DL vs. the Oregon OL
  • Like the Oregon defense, no real weak spots
  • The two teams that played them toughest, USC and Washington, could not run the ball. Their offensive success was almost all through the air. Because of this Herbert needs to have one of his highly accurate games for the Ducks to win.
  • Like a broken record, for this game once again I think turnovers will be the biggest key.
Oregon O vs. Utah D : Advantage Utah
Oregon D vs Utah O: Advantage Oregon
Special Teams: Even

Looks like it will be an excellent college football game.

Clarification...Finally, Dante Cleared Starting the 14th

Altman says he won't play vs Mich, which is too bad. Great experience for those young bigs to get their lazy HS habits swept from the air, lol. You could see them learning what not to do vs UNC and SH...And he hasn't been practicing with the team.

DUMB ASS...Larry “Stooge” Scott

Remind me again why we have our PAC12 Championship game in the bay area in December? Oh yeh, so its convenient for the dumb ass commish to commute from his mansion that we provided a low interest loan for him to buy!
Friday Forecast...54* and 1-2 inches of rain with heavy winds:(
I personally think that horrible weather favors Utah and it will definitely play a factor in the score!

ARROYO: WIN WIN

Several media outlets are guessing that Arroyo is gonna end up being the new HC at UNLV.

Don't know if that is gonna happen but if it does it would be a win/win situation.

Marcus gets a big chance and we get a new OC.

BTW, I voted to keep him another year...but I still would love to see a new OC if he gets promoted.

Agree to disagree in advance...lol.
